Conversations that help you know each other better
Explore meaningful conversation questions for couples, including quick conversations, deeper discussions, date night questions and relationship check-ins.
The Couples Conversation App holds over 250 questions across ten themes, from light and playful to genuinely searching — with modes for five spare minutes or a whole evening.
Why meaningful conversations matter in relationships
Couples rarely stop talking. They stop talking about anything other than logistics. Schedules, children, bills and errands quietly fill the space where curiosity used to be.
The person you married is still changing. Deliberate questions are simply a way of catching up with who they are becoming, before the distance becomes something you have to repair.
Different types of questions for couples
The questions are grouped so you can match the conversation to the mood you are actually in.
Fun and light questions
Easy, playful questions for when you want to enjoy each other rather than work on anything.
Date night questions
A sequence of five questions that moves gently from light to deeper — designed to last a meal.
Deep questions
Questions about fears, hopes, faith, family and the things that are rarely said out loud.
Reflection and communication questions
Questions about how you handle conflict, what makes you feel loved, and what you each need more of.
How to use conversation questions without making them feel like an interview
Answer the question yourself as well. A question asked one way becomes an interrogation; a question both of you answer becomes a conversation.
Follow the interesting answer rather than the next question. The list exists to open a subject, not to be completed.
Do not chase every difficult topic in one evening. One good question, properly explored, is worth ten skimmed.
Making time for regular relationship conversations
Consistency matters more than length. A short conversation every week does more for a relationship than an intense one every few months.
That is what the Weekly Relationship Check-In is for: the same core questions each week, plus rotating ones, so you notice what is changing.
Frequently asked questions
How many questions are included?
Over 250 questions across ten themes, including fun, love, conflict, money, family, the future and honest, vulnerable ground.
Can we use the questions for date night?
Yes. Date Night mode gives you five questions that move from light to deeper, which works well over a meal or a walk.
What is the Weekly Relationship Check-In?
It is a guided weekly conversation built around eight relationship themes, with a quick version of about ten minutes and a full version of about twenty to thirty minutes.
Can we choose different conversation depths?
Yes. You can set how deep the questions go, explore a single topic, or ask for a surprise question. Intimacy questions are off by default and only appear if you opt in.
Are our answers stored anywhere?
No. You never type your answers — you speak them. Saved favourites stay on your own device only.
